cos i cldA collaboration work with Collective#Seven
Site-specific sound installation 2012 at Shalford Mill Working as a part of Collective#Seven to create a site-specific sound installations for group exhibition 'Taming the Tentacles' at Shalford Mill. The water powered flour mill in Shalford is a site of the National Trust and was a place of dynamic beginnings for a group of radical women who took action against urbanisation in the 1920s - the Furguson's Gang.
'cos i cld’, comprised of eight resonant objects positioned in the entrance area of the mill. The handmade speakers emitted a collage of manipulated urban and natural sounds to accompany the existing environment. The installation was ecologically sensitive to its surroundings; the repurposed electronics powered by water turbines positioned beneath the mill. |
