A group sonic cycling event by the Bicrophonic Research Institute (BRI). 10 sonic bikes, 10 bicrophonic artist and 10 new sound works. A sonic bike is "a bicycle with frame mounted speakers carrying sounds and music that will change and play dependent on where and how fast the cyclist goes, using our sonic bike to GPS software system. The sonic bike was invented by Kaffe Matthews and has evolved over 10 years of international projects". My work explores the built environment; the planning, implications and possible uses of our city spaces, taking you on a journey into imaginary spaces and back. The first part of the work is plotted to a set route out of the north end of the park, the second part is plotted in a free form style across a mesh of streets to the east of the park, here you can ride, explore and make your own route through the streets and sounds. Follow the development of my work on my blog http://lisa--hall.blogspot.co.uk/. Come and ride! Bikes can be collected from the stall in London Fields and used for 20 minutes to explore and hear a work. Free, deposit required. 11am - 5pm. www.sonic bikes.net/news at Clocktower Apartment St Pancras Hotel | April 25th & 26th
